THE BRIEF

Launch film for a sequencing platform — the kind of machine that usually gets lit like a refrigerator and scored like a car ad. Shot in the actual labs, with the actual people, on a schedule that respected running experiments.

THE APPROACH

The lab as a landscape: long lenses, available light augmented rather than replaced, machines heard before they are seen. Three movements — sample, signal, answer. Graded warm against the cliché of teal science.
